Robert Smith de The Cure se vio forzado a tocar un improvisado acústico ayer 12 de julio en Bilbao España en el BBK Festival después de que los instrumentos y el equipo de su banda fallaran. La banda fue cabeza de cartel del festival y justo cuando comenzaban el equipo del teclista Roger O’Donnell fallo. Sin inmutarse, Smith tocó a la multitud, unas interpretaciones acústicas extremadamente raras de ‘Three Imaginary Boys’, ‘Fire In Cairo’ y ‘Boys Don’t Cry’, diciéndole a la multitud: “Mientras lo arreglan, voy a cantarles algo”.
Después de la presentación, Smith pidió al resto de la banda que regresaran y tocaron el resto de manera normal. La banda llegó a tocar un set de 38 canciones, que incluyeron los mejores hits de su carrera, tales como: ‘The Lovecats’, ‘Just Like Heaven’ y ‘Why Can’t I Be You?’. The Cure están de gira por Europa este verano y encabezan el Festival Reading And Leeds, junto con Kasabian y Foo Fighters. Les dejamos el video al final de la página.
